Enterprise Rent-A-Car Flourishes in St. Louis
Nearly 50 years ago, Jack Taylor started Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the basement of his employer’s St. Louis automobile dealership. Now Enterprise is the largest rental car company in North America. Taylor’s son, Andy Taylor has taken the wheel of the company, and credits the St. Louis community with giving Enterprise the opportunity to flourish. “With a community rich in world-class educational institutions, the St. Louis area offers a well-educated work force,” Andy says. “It also offers people who work hard and look out for one another – good attributes for any corporate culture.”
