Regional Locations and Expansions 2012-13

The following is a sampling of businesses that have established locations or expanded operations already based in the St. Louis area in 2012 and 2013.
United States Coast Guard - The Coast Guard is opening a Centralized Service Desk in St. Louis. The new center will consolidate all the information technology support functions from around the United States to this single location to better serve the Coast Guard's IT mission. This new facility will operate on a 24/7 schedule. The Coast Guard has hired approximately 70 people.
Walgreens - A new distribution center for Walgreens has broken ground in Edwardsville, IL. The center will employ 50 people supporting the regional drug store chain.
Outsource Group - The Outsource Group, a St. Louis company that specializes in medical collections, is expanding their St. Louis office. The company is adding 75 jobs in collections, customer service and administration.
National Asset Recovery Services Inc. - National Asset Recovery Services Inc. (NARS), founded in 1993, is a provider of business process outsourcing and collections services. The company plans to hire more than 420 employees for its new call center in St. Charles, which will soon be its new headquarters. The company will open its new offices April 26.
Mallinckrodt - Mallinckrodt, born in St. Louis in 1867, will be hiring 200 additional employees in the next 18 months to be part in a new company. These jobs will primarily support the new infrastructure. They will be high level positions in the areas of treasury tax and board and investor relations.
Air Evac Lifeteam - Air Evac Lifeteam, a leading provider of air medical transportation to rural communities, announced it will relocate its headquarters to O’Fallon, Mo. The move will bring upwards of 120 positions and the company is expected to begin this summer recruiting as many as 70 new positions in a variety of operational areas. The headquarters will be in a 78,000-square-foot office building at 1001 Boardwalk Springs Place in WingHaven. It will house corporate and air medical operations employees, and allow for future expansion.
Stifel Financial Corp. - St. Louis-based Stifel Financial, the parent company of brokerage Stifel Nicolaus, has acquired a building at 501 N. Broadway in downtown St. Louis. The company plans to add over 200 new jobs to its St. Louis headquarters.
Wells Fargo Advisors - Third-largest retail brokerage in the U.S., Wells Fargo Advisors, will invest $33 million in capital to expand its downtown St. Louis offices, including renovating 180,000 square feet of office space and purchasing new machinery, equipment, furniture and fixtures. The company will be adding 400 new jobs to its wealth, brokerage and retirement operations. Wells Fargo Advisors has grown its employment in Greater St. Louis by 1,000 in less than five years.
Henniges Automotive - Henniges Automotive, headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, expects to expand its payroll next year and into 2014 in Missouri. The expansion will occur in New Haven, 64 miles west of St. Louis. Employment at the New Haven facility currently stands at 260 employees. The facility will receive a $5 million investment that will integrate new molding presses and robotic coating systems into the production process. GM plans to introduce sealing systems from the New Haven operation into GMC, Cadillac and Chevrolet full-size pick-up trucks and SUVs.
Roberts Marketing Group LLC - Roberts Marketing Group, a call center operation headquarters, has officially located in the 100 Mall Parkway property formerly known as the US Fidelis property in Wentzville, Mo. The company plans to hire over 200 new employees by year's end and over 500 by the end of 2013. There is a long term expectation of growing the company to 1,000 new employees.
Charter Communications - 300 additional jobs are being added to the cable and internet company operations center in Town and Country, MO.
Ungerboeck Software International - Ungerboeck Software International, headquartered in O'Fallon, Missouri, announced that they have hired 51 new employees in the last year and plans to hire 10 more software engineers, business analysts and project managers. The company develops logistical and business management software used at sports venues, events, conventions and trade shows. They recently expanded their offices an additional 10,500 square feet in St. Charles.
Hudson's Bay Company - Department store chain operations company, Hudson Bay, will relocate 130 IT jobs to downtown St. Louis from Toronto, Canada and increase their office space from 12,000 sq.ft to 57,000 sq.ft.
LMI Aerospace Inc. - LMI will invest $4.3 million to add 49,000 sq.ft. to their St. Charles, MO plant. They will expand from 300 to 400 area employees over the next five years.
Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) - Reinsurance Group of America, the Fortune 500 company located in Chesterfield, will build a $150 million corporate headquarters for its existing 800 employees in the St. Louis region. RGA has plans to create an additional 300 new jobs. RGA's 1,655 employees are located throughout 25 countries worldwide.
Nationstar Mortgage - The company announced it would be creating 300 jobs at their Westport Plaza, St. Louis County location. New jobs will be focused in the company's loan originations operations fulfillment division.
American Heartland Fish Products - Announced the development of an Asian Carp fish processing plant in Grafton, IL. The group will provide at least 36 jobs and will export 15 million fish to China.
North Bay Produce - Will develop a new $3.5 million warehouse at MidAmerica St. Louis Airport. The warehouse will support growing demand on North Bay's processing line where employees prepare fruit for delivery for Midwest grocers. The company is expected to add 50 jobs with the new expansion.
Tenet Healthcare Corp. - Tenet is consolidating several of their existing operations and moving 100 jobs to St. Louis from Bowling Green, KY and Nashville, TN. The jobs are in their Conifer Health Solutions billing and collections division.
Boeing - Boeing announced will add an estimated 20 jobs to their advanced manufacturing plant as it is expanding operations at MidAmerica Airport.
Monsanto - The Chesterfield, MO agricultural research campus is being upgraded with an investment of $400 million. Employment will expand by 675 positions by 2017. Monsanto purchased the campus with its research labs and greenhouses from Pfizer in 2009.
Boeing - 300-400 IT positions are being relocated to St. Louis County, MO from Seattle, WA to create a center of excellence. Additional regional hiring will increase the total jobs up to as many as 600. Positions include systems engineers, applications developers, and database administrators.
FedEx Corp. - Ground was broken on a new $23,500,000 FedEx Ground distribution center in Sauget, IL in May 2013. The state of the art facility will be able to handle 10,000 packages per hour and will employ 175 after opening in August 2014.
